Gloria A. Knox

1937 - 2025

Beloit, WI - Gloria A. Knox (nee McCoy), age 88 of Beloit, died peacefully in her sleep on Sun. Dec. 21, 2025. She was born in Mauston, WI, on Feb. 8, 1937, the daughter of Morris and Marion McCoy. Gloria married Vernal Knox in October 1957 in Beloit, Wisconsin. They enjoyed 34 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 1991.

A Beloit resident for most of her life, Gloria was employed by, Fairbanks-Morse, a member of the First United Methodist Church, Red Hat Society, and the Order of Eastern Star #215, Beloit. She enjoyed spending time with her family taking many trips, enjoying the Fireside, square dancing, socializing with the "girls" of Beloit Memorial High School's Class of '57 and being an amazing mom to Brian and Brenda. She also cherished time with grandchildren Andy, Brandon, Holly and Emily. She was sweet and thoughtful, and loved by her extended family and friends.

Gloria is survived by her 2 children: Brian (Kate) Knox of Sussex, WI and Brenda (Tom) Witten of Evansville, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Charles (Donna) McCoy of Garden Grove, CA and Morris (Gloria) McCoy of Abbeville, MS.

A memorial gathering will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. on Friday Jan. 2, 2026, at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME 1010 N Wright Rd, Janesville, WI 53546. Private burial will follow.
