Gloria Herminia Longoria, a cherished and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on January 23, 2024 at the age of 74 in Bryan, TX. She was born on June 11, 1949, in Cd. Mier, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She married her spouse, Geronimo S. Longoria Sr., in 1968 and in 1971, they moved to Bryan, TX where they lovingly raised their family.
Gloria dedicated her career to serving others, retiring from both Texas A&M University Systems and St. Joseph Hospital. Gloria had a strong work ethic since a young age and enjoyed sharing stories about her work. She was deeply involved in numerous local Hispanic Cultural Organizations during the 80s and 90s, notably contributing to events like the Fiestas Patrias - Bryan College Station.
A woman of boundless love and generosity, Gloria found joy in entertaining her family, dancing, and sharing her culinary talents with those she held dear. Her legacy lives on through the love and memories she leaves behind.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ascencio and Ofelia Garcia; brother, Manuel Garcia; granddaughters, Lisett and Stefi Longoria; and great granddaughter, Gianna Longoria.
Gloria is survived by her husband of 55 years, Geronimo; children, Gloria Longoria, Geronimo and (Ana) Longoria, Manuel and (Maria) Longoria and Edith Longoria; grandchildren, Yaniss and Josh Saldivar, Jorge and Cristina Garcia, Geronimo and Karina Longoria, Rebecca Ramirez, Edgar Garcia, Viviana and John Tello, Aron and Brandie Longoria, Teresa Ramirez, Sylvia Garcia, Briana Ramirez and Alexander Clay, and Alex and Alan Longoria; 19 great grandchildren; 9 brothers and sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
