Gloria Joan Lewis Noah
December 16, 1931 – February 2, 2026
Gloria Joan Lewis Noah was born on December 16, 1931, at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, and passed away on February 2, 2026, reuniting with her beloved husband of 58 years, Don.
She grew up in Chicago during the Great Depression. Gloria went on to enjoy a remarkable career that included work with Westinghouse Electric, NBC’s Nightly News, American Airlines as a stewardess, and later as a travel agent. She also made history as the first woman in sales at Motorola.
In 1982, Gloria and Don moved to Theodosia, Missouri, where she became an active member of Theodosia United Methodist Church and a dedicated volunteer in the community. She was known for her work with church youth, community events, line dancing instruction, and decades of service as a KY3 weather watcher and “Mother Goose” to local children.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; her brother and sister; an infant son; and her husband, Don. She is survived by her son Dan (Joyce); daughter Cheryl (Eric); grandchildren Megan, Danielle, Katie, Annie, Gavin, and Derek; great-grandchildren Nathan and Ellie; a special niece, Joanne Harrison; dear friend Janet Smith and many other friends.
Celebration of Life arrangements will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
