Gloria Talamantes Obituary
Coats, NC: Mrs. Gloria R. Talamantes, age 76, of Forever Lane passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield surrounded by her loving family. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 11, 2025 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton Grove. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Talamantes was born February 12, 1949 in Chihuahua, Mexico to the late Alfanzo and Reyna Rincon. She was also preceded in death by her son, Luis Talamantes; and eleven brothers and sisters. Mrs. Talamantes was a homemaker and loved spending time with family and friends. She would always welcome you with a smile, no matter what life would throw at her. If asked how are you today, she would always answer….“good thank the Lord”. Even after several surgeries, and losing her son, she still kept a positive spirit. She would always answer all “It is Well with My Soul.”
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Ramon Talamantes; children, Cecilia Talamantes, Mariana Nieves, Theresa Gonzales, Ramon Talamantes, Reyna Ochoa, and Ivonne Arellano; twenty-three grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Reyna Rincon; and several nieces and nephews.
