Twohig Funeral Home & Cremation Service - CampbellsportGloria D. Weiss (nee Rucks), at age 90 of West Bend, formerly of Campbellsport, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 23, 2025, at Cornerstone Assisted Living, surrounded by love. She was born on January 18, 1935, daughter of the late Raymond and Dorothy (nee Belling) Rucks.
Gloria attended Saint John Evangelical Lutheran School, graduating in 1948, and went on to graduate from Lomira High School in 1952. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, she worked at the West Bend Company, Kohl’s, the Cookie Jar, Hallmark, and she was also instrumental in helping her husband Edwin, run the family business. She married the love of her life Edwin Weiss Jr. on July 3, 1954, at St. Lawrence. A lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Campbellsport, Gloria’s faith was the foundation of her life. She enjoyed Bible study, and expressed her creativity through sewing, mending, and crafting. She loved playing piano, Bingo, cards and board games. But above all, she cherished time spent with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her loving daughters Sharon (Paul) Wienke of Campbellsport, Donna Martin of Sheboygan and Dawn (Gregg) Jashinsky of West Bend. Her grandchildren Rashelle, Jason, Jeremy, Michael, Nick, Sean, Robert, Andrea, James, Tyler, Kelsey, Abigail and Logan. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Caleb, Owen, Cameron, Sean Jr, Jordan, Emma, Hunter, Mason and Jaxson. Her brother Mark Rucks and sister Dolores Buehl.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin in 2009, her daughter Brenda (Weiss) Plunger 2018, and her son Gerald 1968.
A Christian Funeral Service for Gloria will be held at 11am on October 8, 2025, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Campbellsport with Reverend Paul Cerny officiating. Visitation will be from 9am until the time of service. Burial will take place next to her loving husband and son in the Holy Angel Catholic Cemetery in West Bend.
She will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her generosity, and the deep love she shared with all who knew her.
The family would like to thank Cornerstone and Preceptor Hospice for their care and compassion.
