Birmingham, Alabama, to Herbert Kelly & Pearl Turner, Glorious's journey through life was marked by her infectious smile, unwavering kindness, and the strength of her character. She left us on the 18th of February, 2026, in
Menifee, California, surrounded by the warmth of her loving family.
Glorious's life was one of vibrancy and joy. She shared a blissful 34 years of marriage with her devoted husband, Clifford Baxter. She had three wonderful children: Olivia Willis , Andre Willis, and Elzie Willis. Although her heart was heavy with the loss of her daughter Olivia, Glorious's love never waned, and her spirit remained unshaken. Her legacy continues to thrive through her three grandchildren, one step-granddaughter, and six great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
The bond of family extended to her siblings, Eddie Reed, Cecilia Ann Reed and Willie Reed, with whom she shared an unbreakable connection forged in their early years in Alabama. Glorious's early education in Birmingham laid the foundation for her later achievements after the family moved to Los Angeles, where she graduated from Thomas Jefferson Sr. High School. Her academic journey was a testament to her determination and intellect, qualities that shone brightly throughout her life.
Glorious's professional life was marked by her 15-year tenure as an Examiner for the FDIC, where her meticulous nature and ethical standards made her a respected voice in her field. Her colleagues remember her as a woman of integrity, always striving for excellence and fairness in her work.
Away from her professional duties, Glorious found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid bowler, relishing the camaraderie and competition. Her culinary skills were unmatched, and family gatherings were always an opportunity for her to showcase her love through delicious meals. With Cliff by her side, she enjoyed numerous trips to Las Vegas, where the couple reveled in the city's vibrant energy.
Glorious's captivating smile was a true reflection of her inner beauty. She was gentle and kind, yet firm when the occasion called for it. Her moral compass never faltered; she stood tall for what was right, serving as a role model to all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. Her beauty, both inside and out, was evident to everyone she met.
Today, we honor the memory of Glorious Baxter, a woman who touched so many lives with her grace and kindness. Her presence was a gift, and though she has departed from this world, the impact of her love remains.
