Goldburn Frank Vernon was born September 1, 1955 in Belize City, Belize.
Goldburn was born to Edward Vernon and Elswith Slusher, both of whom preceded him in death.
Goldburn Vernon or better known as Dixie, came to the United States in 1975, where he met and fell in love with his beautiful wife, Chelvana Vernon. With whom, they celebrated 48 years of marriage and the birth of 5 amazing children.
Goldburn received his formal education at Truman College, where he found an undeniable love for Automotives. In which he obtained his degree in Automotive Technology. Thus, leading to his career as an Automotive Technician. Goldburn loved expanding his knowledge in the automotive industry. Before his passing, he signed up for a computer class to enhance his knowledge of electric vehicles and modern technology.
Goldburn exhibited many traits that made him into the person whom many loved dearly. He had a passion for boxing and portrayed himself with a charismatic personality, full of light and love. Close friends and family knew him as the "life of the party." He contained a great sense of humor, loved to dance, socialize and be around those whom he loved.
Goldburn was very family oriented. He loved and valued his family dearly. He was a proud devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Due to Goldburn's impeccable interpersonal skills, he gained new relationships and connections effortlessly.

A visitation will be held Monday, November 17, 2025 from 10 am until time of the service at 11 am at N.H. Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home, 1240 Waukegan Road, Glenview. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
