Gonzalo Gonzalez, 70, of Wolfe City, Texas, passed away in his home on November 2, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home in Greenville, TX.

Gonzalo was born on May 27, 1955 in Rio Hondo, Texas to Faustino P. Gonzalez and Maria O. Reyna Gonzalez. He retired after 30 + years from L-3 Communications in Greenville, Texas as an aircraft mechanic. Gonzalo also worked as a saddle maker for Billy Cook in Greenville, Texas and Twister's Saddles in Bonham, Texas. Gonzalo worked hard for his family as a true provider and never met anyone that he didn't call a friend. His love for his family, kind soul and ability to always make you laugh are memories his loved ones will hold on to forever. His love of music was well known by many and cherished by all that heard him play. He often told his daughters near his passing that he was 'Knock, Knock, Knocking on Heaven's Door', showing us all that he was still the funny man we all knew and loved.

He is survived by his 3 daughters; Bess Walters, Barbara Peden and husband Gerald, Maria McDonald and husband Jon. Grandchildren; Mason Gonzalez, Kasie Peden, Lacy Peden, Nacie McDonald, Cassidy Walters, Adin McDonald, and Zayne Peden. Brothers, Oracio Gonzalez, Gilberto and wife Elsa Gonzalez; Sisters, Minerva Leos and husband Eleuterio, Irma Garza, Hilda Hernandez, Emma Aguilar, and Juanita Contreras; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Faustino Gonzalez and Maria O. Reyna Gonzalez, brothers Ricardo Gonzalez, Alfredo Gonzalez, Anselmo Gonzalez and sister Senaida Gonzalez.
