Gordon Paul Aurand, age 79, of Jackson, formerly of Alma went to his eternal home with Jesus on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Jackson County Medical Care Facility. He was born on March 4, 1946, in Niles, Michigan the son of Paul and Doris (Whited) Aurand. He was a 1964 graduate of Decatur High School and proudly served his county in the United State Army during the Vietnam War from January 4, 1966, until his honorable discharge on January 3, 1968. After his time in the Army, Gordon worked as a truck driver for Scotland Oil for 15 years, before working in packaging at Garr Tool for 22 years, retiring in 2010. He was a faithful member of the Alma Church of God, and his faith was the foundation of his life. Gordon was known for his sense of humor and endearing spirit, bringing a smile to family, friends, co-workers or even those he interacted with at the store. He liked working in the yard and making things out of wood. But most of all, he loved his family and friends.
