Dear Jo,
Thanks to Beverly B for sending this obituary to me.
What a wonderful life he lived. So glad I got to see him years ago.
I'm happy to be in Madison with Heather and my twin grandsons - Addison and Oliver.
LMK if you ever get back to Wisconsin.
Love and sympathy!

I will never forget the SPC Sunday ski bus trips, Dr Cochrane as chaperone, in the early 70´s. I was always reading historical romance novels on the bus, and vividly remember Dr Cochrane remarking to me that he had read the one I was reading! After that, we often discussed our favorite authors, romance writers all. Such a wonderful, engaging, lovely man.

I met Dr. Cochrane as a student at Seattle Pacific in the mid 1970's. Although, I never took one of his classes, we crossed paths while training to teach skiing. He and Dee McMullin would give us students rides to the mountain. Gordon was very kind and when I asked him to speak at a student Bible study group I was organizing, he offered to bring his German Shepherd dog and talk about search and rescue. The connection he has with us students was wonderful. He was a great man and will be missed.

I met Mr. Gordon Cochrane (Gordy, as he said to call him) through Ali Cochrane his granddaughter and our nephew's wonderful wife. We were at a family gathering together and I was grateful to meet him - my Mom (Kneldrith or Kay Kline) was a contemporary of his at LAPC years ago. She remembered him and his family with much warmth - and once I met him I could see why.
A delightful person, very engaging and interested in others - even into his later years. Glad for the brief positive acquaintance.
Blessings on the family and on the memory of Gordy Cochrane. May he rest in God's eternal light and peace.

Gordon Cochrane Obituary
Gordon E. Cochrane was born August 30, 1928, to Elvis and Ruth Cochrane. His was a breach birth, which evidently was harder on his mama than on him, as he was born with the happy gene. The happy gene was recognizable to anyone who met him (and... Read Gordon Cochrane's Obituary
