Happy birthday Grandpa

I was so sad to hear the news about Gordon last night. He hired me as the Administrative Assistant for Coldwell Banker in 1997 and we worked together for 6 years. He brought a professional image for the entire office. I was proud to work in that office under him. He was smart and had a fun sense of humor. He treated me like a daughter and I will forever be grateful for our friendship. I went out on his boat a few times and Gordon and Betty used my condo in Florida one winter. He always had my back when things just didn't go quite right. Betty, I am so sorry, he was one of a kind. Robbin.

As a child I remember Grandpa as stern and serious, but as I grew older I learned to further read the twinkle in his eyes. He has helped me directly and inderactly in ways perhaps only I know, and I respect him highly. I think my best or most lasting memories of him were on his boat, and since I've picked up boating as my favorite hobby I have positive memories to hang onto. I love you Grandpa and Grandma.
