Gordon Owen Lee Dix

Gordon Owen Lee Dix, 90, of Reisterstown, MD, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026. He was born on October 6, 1935, in Baltimore to the late Edgar O. Dix and Olive Carin Jett Dix.

Gordon served his country with honor as a Master Sergeant in the United States Army. He served three tours of duty in the Vietnam War. After retiring from his military career, he transitioned to a new career in property management, including overseeing multiple buildings in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.

He had many hobbies and interests. His family and friends will remember him as a true craftsman. There was no home improvement or garden project that he would not tackle. He also enjoyed making personalized wooden bird houses with incredible detail as gifts for his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Lorna Elaine Stinchcomb Dix, as well as his sons, Richard Dix (Melanie Dix), Ronald Dix (Larry Barisciano) and daughter Teresa Raleigh. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

He is pre-deceased by wife Shirley Marie Ryman Dix and daughter, Cynthia Louise Dix.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, April 1, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 2, at 10 am.

Interment with military honors to follow in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD.
