Gordon Fow Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home - Charleston on Sep. 5, 2025.
Gordon Clarence Fow, Jr., of Winslow, Arkansas, joined his heavenly father on Thursday, September 4, 2025. He was born on March 26, 1936, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Gordan Clarence Fow, Sr. and Edith May (Kernen) Fow. He was 89 years old.

Throughout life, Gordon, worked tirelessly to provide for his family. He was the kind of person to stop at nothing to make sure his wife and children were safe and taken care of. He pioneered the Heavy Equipment Division of Fireman's Fund Insurance in San Francisco, had his own diesel mechanic shop, created his own construction company, built his own home, as well as worked as a logger, mechanic, heavy equipment operator, cattle rancher, truck driver, and even raced flat track motorcycles. He did all this with the main goal being to give everything he could to his family. He was a man who had so many stories and experiences. He loved spending time with his family above everything else. He also enjoyed riding horses in the rodeos, traveling all across the U.S. and Canada, taking road trips on his motorcycle or in his Green VW Westfalia Camper Van. Although nothing relaxed him and cleared his mind more than driving his 750 Honda motorcycle.

He was a Christian who deeply valued his relationship with God. A man with integrity, motivation, dedication, determination, and unmatched worth ethics. He always found a way to do what seemed impossible for anyone else and always found a way to help when most people wouldn't. He was there when you needed him. No matter the situation or distance. He was very loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He will always be so very dearly missed and forever loved.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Peggy Lee White; a daughter, Audra Michelle White-Leach; two sons, Jared Michael White and Ronald Gordon Fow; a son-in-law, Michael Scott Leach; and a grandson, Aiden Graham Leach.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Constance (Connie) M. Fow; and two brothers, Robert (Bob) Harry Fow and Ronald (Ron) Kernen Fow.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
