I've known Gordy for aprox 10 years but have been really close for the last 5 here in Laporte. My heart felt condolances to all the family. I'll miss Gordy and the late even splashes on the hot summer days in the lake with Gordy and the dogs

Dear Lisa and Gerry,
I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved father. He was a unique, caring man with a generous spirit. He was my soulmate. I will always remember the twinkle in his eyes, his wonderful laugh, his sense of fun and love of nature. My entire family has always been grateful for his kind attention to my father when he was so very ill. We had many, many happy times together and I will cherish those memories. I will celebrate his life and my lovely memories will bring me comfort and peace. He was a very good man. Love, Marti More

Lisa & Jerry-
So sorry to both of you on the loss of your Dad. He was a great uncle to me, not to mention Godfather. I have so many fond memories of all of us growing up and especially the times at the cabin.

The Haertel Family:

It was my honor and priviledge to have been assigned to work with Gordie when we were assigned to the Special Operations Division. He was a model of leadership. He was a kind person. We had many good times enforcing the law and reviewing operations on the roof and basement of the city garage. A lot of fond memories. Gordie will be missed, I'm sure. God bless.

Dear Haertel Family,

I worked with Gordy in the 60's at Honeywell, Inc. We were both assigned to the Purchasing Department at the time. He was such a great guy and a pleasure to work with. I bumped into him years later when he was working security at a club in downtown Minneapolis. It was so good to see and chat with him!

My sincere sympathy for your loss.
