Gordon Link

Gordon Stuart Link, 77, of Watseka, passed away Wednesday (Oct. 11, 2023), at his home.

He was born July 27, 1946, in Evanston, the son of Oren R. and Beatrice F. (Fee) Link. Gordon married Linda Ann Zaino in Joliet, on Jan. 28, 1984.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Ann Link, of Watseka; one son, James S. (Elizabeth) Link, of Littleton, Colo.; one daughter, Melissa Winters (special friend, Peter Tolen), of Chicago Heights; three grandchildren, L.J. Winters, Josephine Link and Beatrice Link; one brother-in-law and three sisters-in- law, Peggy Vaughn, Edward J. Zaino, Mary Ellen Zaino and Jo Ann (Jim) Zaino-Garard; his "favorite" nieces and nephews, Derek, Dakota, Corbin and Dalton; and one great-niece, Jocelynn.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Oren and Trixie; and one brother, Scott O. Link.

Gordon was a jack-of-all trades and a master of them all. He enjoyed cutting wood, gardening, woodworking and riding motorcycles. He loved spending time with his friends and family. Gordon was a traveling gypsy by heart who loved to have a good cold one.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18 at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka.

Cremation rites will be accorded after the visitation.

A celebration of life service will be next year at 11 a.m. July 27, 2024, at Legion Park in Watseka.

Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
