Gordon Avery Lloyd, 74 years old of Robstown, Texas expired unexpectedly on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital, with his family by his side. Gordon was born to the late Kenneth Edgar Lloyd Sr. and Lila Mae (Shanklin) Lloyd of Freeport, Texas.
Gordon was a graduate of Lamar University and Saginaw Valley State University with an Engineering Degree. He was employed with The Dow Chemical Company in Midland, Michigan for more than 38 Years in the Engineering Department. Gordon was an avid golfer and softball player. He also coached a Women's Softball team and a Little League team over the years. He was a huge fan of The Dallas Cowboys.
Gordon is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Dianne (Haith) Brown-Lloyd; son, Charles V. Brown III (wife Melissa); grandchildren, Charles J. and Frederick J. Brown; mothe,r Lila Mae (Shanklin) Lloyd; brothers, Kenneth Edgar Lloyd II (wife Lillie), Jarrett Arlin Llloyd (wife Barbara); sisters, Susan Elisabeth (Lloyd) Johnson (husband Thomas), and the late Marilyn Gail (Lloyd) Glaze.
His loss will also be felt by his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who cherish his memory.
A private ceremony in Texas is planned for a later date.
