I have wonderful memories of uncle Gordie throughout my life, being a fun, loving man, a creative being and a father who loved his family. I will continue to go through my memories and smile at them as I recall great times at the lake. I still remember when he scared us to death with a bear claw hiding under one of the beds upstairs, always makes me laugh. I´ll miss him for sure.

He who learns must suffer. And even in our sleep pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God.

Dear Lauren, I´m so sorry for your loss. Your father sounded like such a talented and fascinating man, and it´s clear he brought joy and creativity to those around him. How special that your family formed a music group together-what a beautiful way to share laughter, love, and lasting memories. I was so surprised to see that your mother was the Administrator at Juniper Hill Village-I retired from there just last December! I hope you find comfort in the many wonderful moments your family has shared over the years, and that those memories help ease your sorrow.
