Gordon Jackson Poole, Sr., 88, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at New Life Tabernacle in Sylvester with Reverend Clinton Fields officiating. Interment will follow at Wrights Chapel Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time.
Mr. Poole was born on September 13, 1937, to the late Claude Franklin Poole and Carrie Giddens Poole in Worth County, Georgia. He worked as a paint inspector for many years upon his retirement from the U.S. Marine Base in Albany. Mr. Poole enjoyed watching dirt track racing, he loved working with his saw mill, and square dancing in his free time. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Claude Franklin Poole, Jr., and sister, Jeanette Price.
Survivors include one son, Gordon Jackson Poole, Jr. and wife Sandra of Worth County, and two grandchildren, Ambria Carter (Stewart) and Jordan Poole.
