Gordon Rodriguez

Gordon S. Rodriguez, age 74, of Gadsden, Alabama, passed away at his home on Thursday, September 29, 2022. He was born on January 9, 1948.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Maxine Rodriguez, daughter and son-in-law Robin and Mark Prestridge, and two loving grandchildren, John Mark and Emma. He is also survived by many loving family and friends.
Gordon was an Air Force veteran and retired from Gulf States Steel and Anniston Army Depot. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing golf with his buddies. He loved spending time with his wife and family, especially his two grandchildren he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his father, Otilio Rodriguez, and mother, Nellie Rodriguez.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 3, 2022, at Collier Butler Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy Walker officiating. Burial at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Egypt Mountain Road, Altoona, Alabama. Visitation will be from 6PM to 8PM on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Mark Prestridge, John Mark Prestridge, Brian Greer, Jordan Greer, Brandon Smith, Adam Walker, and Chris Porter. Honorary Pallbearers are Carl Steadman, Richard Sisco, Dan Livingston, Chris Crauthers, Gary Garrett, Ralph Muskett, Carlos Mostella, and Danny Cofield.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Kindred Hospice, First Choice Home Senior Care (especially April McDaniel), and Veterans Administration of Alabama.
