Grace Erna Anderson, age 101 ½, of Pine River, MN, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, at the Good Samaritan Society in Pine River.
Grace was born to Charles and Grace Habeck on September 22, 1924, in Jackson, MN. She had three brothers and three sisters and grew up in Round Lake, MN, graduating from Round Lake High School. Grace united in marriage to Glenn Dale Anderson on April 30, 1945, and was blessed with two children, Brian and Brenda.
She was an active member of the First Lutheran Church in Pine River and loved attending quilting there with the ladies of the church. The 100th birthday party that her family planned, attended by friends and family, was something so special to her. Grace had a tender, giving heart. She loved and found much joy in her grandchildren, Andrea and Gene.
Grace is preceded in death by her parents and siblings; husband, Glenn; son, Brian; and daughter, Brenda.
Grace is survived by her son-in-law, Bill Hamilton of Pine River; grandchildren, Andrea Hamilton (Louis) of Hutchinson, and Gene (Rita) Hamilton of Backus; and great-grandchildren, Laura Hamilton and Jared Hamilton (Sophia) of Backus.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the loyal and kind people that visited Grace through the years, the quilting group, and the staff at the Good Samaritan Society for the excellent care she received.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at First Lutheran Church in Pine River, with a visitation the hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Pine River.
