Grace A. Bersinger

Grace A. Bersinger, 87, of Marquette, passed away Monday, September 29, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

She was born November 1, 1937, in Marquette, a daughter of Carl and Grace (Comstock) Zintman. She was raised in Marquette and was a1956 graduate of John D. Pearce High School.

Grace married Charles F. Bersinger in Marquette in 1958. The couple lived in Hawaii and Georgia for a few years while Charles served his military career before returning to the Marquette area.

She was employed in the administration department at the Marquette Branch Prison before working various positions in the public school system at Bothwell Middle School and Marquette Senior High School.

Grace was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed swimming with friends and spending time at the family camp on Noreen Lake with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Charles F. "Pete" Bersinger of Marquette; son, James (Carla) Bersinger of Marquette and Julie (Jeffrey) Erickson of Negaunee; grandchildren, Joel Erickson of Negaunee, Jared (Paige) Erickson of Negaunee, Cory (Emilee) Bersinger of Inver Grove Heights, MN and Emily Bersinger of Rosemount, MN; great-grandchild, Avery Erickson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, infant Carly and Nancy Marceau; brother, Daniel Zintman; and step-father, Albert Gentz.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 10 am to 11 am at Silver Creek Church in Harvey. A service will be held at 11 am in the church with Rev. Kevin Taylor officiating. A luncheon will follow the service in the church hall. Interment will take place in Park Cemetery.
