Grace Rush Conklin

Grace Rush Conklin, 91, of Washington, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025, in Southmont Presbyterian SeniorCare. She was born October 31, 1934, a daughter of the late Sanford Rush and Mattie Patterson Rush. Grace was raised in Greene County and attended Rich Hill High School. She was a member of East Buffalo Presbyterian Church. She loved playing cards, jigsaw and crossword puzzles. She was a huge sports fan who loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and college football. She especially loved cheering on Pitt and Penn State. On July 18, 1952, she married her beloved husband Arthur M. "Roe" Conklin, who passed away January 4, 2010. Grace is survived by two daughters, Judi (Rick) Shipman of Prosperity and Vicki (Michael) Allender of Burnsville, Minnesota; three grandchildren: Jessi (Brock) Yates, Julie (Eric) Cunninghman and Leslie (Clayton) LaPosta; and seven great-grandchildren: Brock Yates, Natalie Yates, Camie Yates, Travis Yates, Emma Cunninghman, Gianni LaPosta and Dino LaPosta; and several nieces and nephews. Preceeding her in death, in addition to her parents and husband, are a daughter, Diane Lynn Conklin; three brothers: Joshua Rush, John Rush and Arthur Rush; and five sisters: Lillian Jones, Kathryn Staggers, Irene McEndree, Helen Rush and Della Rush. Friends and family will be received from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Friday, November 7, in East Buffalo Presbyterian Church, 180 E. Buffalo Church Road, Washington, where services will follow at 12 p.m. Interment will follow in Enon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to East Buffalo Church or Washington Christian Outreach.
