Grace Czarniak Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Marnocha Funeral Home on Aug. 30, 2024.
Grace A Czarniak, 91, Krakow, passed away peacefully Friday August 30, 2024. The daughter of John and Rose (Betley) Baranczyk was born on November 22, 1932.
Grace grew up in Hofa Park. On March 4, 1957, she married Michael "Junior" Czarniak, Jr. (with the blessing of her older brother, Harry, of course )
They settled on the Czarniak family farm in Krakow and raised their three children. After Mike's passing in 1984, the family continued to farm. Despite Grace's polio, she never missed a day in the barn. She took a great deal of pride in being independent and working hard to help with whatever was needed. She enjoyed polka music, especially Chad Przybylski, playing cards, and had a strong faith in the Catholic church.
She was the matriarch of our family and will be deeply missed by her brother, Tony (Marcie) Baranczyk, Green Bay; her sister, Rosemary Styczynski, Gillett; son, Ken Czarniak, Green Bay; daughter, Karen (Dan) Sweere, Krakow; granddaughter April Stevenson (fiancé Trevor Marcks); extended family and many friends.
Grace was looking forward to being reunited with her husband, Michael Czarniak, Jr; parents, John and Rose Baranczyk; brothers, Harry Baranczyk and Cyril Baranczyk; sister in law, Alice Socha; brother-in-law, Chester Styczynski; son, Kevin Czarniak, and many friends.
Friends are invited to gather with family at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 119 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski, on Thursday, September 5, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon with Fr. Carmen Scuderi, O.F.M. presiding. Burial will take place in St. Casimir Cemetery, Krakow.
Online condolences may be offered to Grace's family at www.marnochafuneralhome.com or on the Marnocha Funeral Home Facebook page.
