Grace A. (Gambler) Frantz, 86, formerly of Kutztown and Topton, died peacefully Sunday, December 21, 2025, in Tower Health - Reading Hospital. She was the widow of Monroe A. Frantz, who died in 1983. Born in Topton, Grace was a daughter of the late LeRoy and Elda M. (Behm) Gambler. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Bowers, where she was a member of the choir and participated on fund raising committees.
Grace was a graduate of Kutztown Area Senior High School, Class of 1957. She was employed as a cashier at the former Laneco Department Store, Kutztown, for six years and Burger King, Kutztown, for ten years until her retirement in 2007.
Grace enjoyed sewing, embroidery, crafts, reading, bowling, and sending cards and letters to friends and family. She also volunteered at the library at The Lutheran Home at Topton, while residing in Luther Meadows, on the campus there.
Grace is survived by two brothers: Lester A., husband of Gloria (Hunsicker) Gambler, Mohrsville; and Kenneth L., husband of Joanne (Soffa) Gambler, Bethlehem. Other survivors include two nieces: Rebecca Gambler and Melissa (Gambler), wife of Benjamin Bernhard, and their children, Victoria, Brandon and Nicholas; and a nephew, Matthew, husband of Amy (Killian) Gambler, and their children, Brian and Jack. In addition to her parents and husband, Monroe, Grace was predeceased by a nephew, Gregory Gambler, in 2008.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Grace's life will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with The Reverend Martin A. Milne, officiating. Interment in Union Cemetery of Bowers. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
