I was first introduced to Grace Paley's writings by my Purdue Professor Shirley Staton back in 1986. Grace's writings and her life have been an inspiration to me. Thank you, Grace Paley.
Sincerely, Ray Christensen

I was so sad to hear of the passing of Grace Paley, a true soldier in the fight against hypocrisy, and, on top of that, a beautiful writer and gracious teacher.

Little disturbances, enormous changes--Grace Paley was unique. Resistance (in word, deed, the simplest conversation) was her daily bread. What an inspiration in her wake, and gratitude for her example and her work.

What a sad loss! Sincere sympathy to family and friends. I will never forgt this quote of hers: "None of it happened, and yet every word of it is true." I am a retired nurse, poet, and writer in TN

I heard Grace Paley read her poetry several times at The Frost Place and at The Joiner Conference. She was as alive and interesting as anyone could be; to say she was an inspiration is a vast understatement. I'll miss her presence in this world.
