Grace Joan Reinhold, age 89, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of the Muskegon community, peacefully passed away on January 13, 2026. Born on March 29, 1936, in Muskegon, MI, to Barney & Gertrude (Dwyer) VanderVeen. She married her devoted husband, William Reinhold, on May 28, 1960, and shared many wonderful years filled with love and laughter until his passing in 2016.
Grace's caring nature was exemplified in her career as a nurse, where she worked diligently with Dr. Benedict before taking time to raise her children and later returned to nursing at DeBoer Nursing Home. Her commitment to helping others extended well beyond her profession; she was a dedicated member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, actively contributing her time to the food pantry and always placing the needs of others before her own.
A true friend and matriarch, Grace was known for her sweet spirit, unwavering kindness, and devotion to her family. She attended all of her children's sporting events and activities, cheering them on with pride. Grace cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, filling her home with warmth and joy as they created lasting memories together. In recent years, her two beloved dogs, Muffy and Clancey, brought her much comfort and happiness.
Grace is survived by her loving children, Laurel (Julius "Bim") Larson, Dr. Gregory (Robin) Reinhold, Michael Reinhold, and Cindi (Brian) Mullin; her treasured grandchildren, Julie (Tim) Doctor, Kristi (Matt) Darga, Isaac (Megan) Perry, Sam (Alisha) Perry, Jessica (Tanner) Winget, Leah (Adam) Boothe, Lauren (Darrien) Worth, Jenna (Caleb) Mundwiler, Justin Reinhold, Cody Reinhold, Tyler Reinhold, Courtney (Mark Boersma) Reinhold , Brennan Mullin, Aiden Mullin, and Colin Mullin; many loving great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary Jean Wheaton; her brother, Richard (Rosie) VanderVeen; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will gather for a private service to celebrate Grace's life at a later date, honoring her legacy and the love she shared with all who were fortunate enough to know her. In this time of remembrance, the family invites friends to visit www.clockfuneralhome.com to leave memories and sign the online guestbook.
Grace Joan Reinhold will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched with her compassion and love.
