Memorial services for Grace A. Tanner, age 85, of Sheldon who passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Sanford Senior Care in Sheldon. Her memorial service will be on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 1:30 P.M. at the Andringa Funeral Home in Sheldon with Pastor Ken Snyder, officiating.
Visitation with the family present will be from 12:30 P.M. until the time of service at the Andringa Funeral Home in Sheldon.

Grace Ann Tanner, the daughter of Menno and Grace (Kruse) Bents was born November 13, 1939, in Worthington, Minnesota. She received her education in Worthington graduating from Worthington High School in 1957. On August 1, 1959, she was united in marriage to Ronald “Ron” Tanner at the Methodist Church in Sheldon, Iowa. After their marriage the couple made their home in Sheldon. Grace was a stay-at-home mom raising her three children Ronald Jr. Rebecca and Russell as well as being employed at Tanner’s Clothing in Sheldon. The couple’s retirement years were spent in Sheldon. Grace entered the Sanford Senior Care in Sheldon May of 2024. She passed away at Senior Care on Wednesday March 5, 2025, reaching the age of 85 years 3 months and 22 days.
Grace enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed doing word puzzles. crocheting, and cleaning her house which was always kept clean. she and Ron cleaned many Sheldon businesses.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years Ronald “Ron” Tanner of Sheldon, Iowa children Ronald “Skip” (Patricia) Tanner Jr. of Sheldon, Iowa; Rebecca (Dave) Muilenburg of Sanborn, Iowa and Russell Tanner of Sheldon, Iowa; three grandchildren Paige Duncan (Eric Bernier) of Sanborn, Iowa, Nicholas (Rachel) Tanner of Lake Park, Iowa and Grant (Ali) Muilenburg of Spencer, Iowa five great grandchildren Tayten, Mauer, and Audrey Grace Tanner and Clark and Reese Muilenburg; one sister Gertrude Frey and a sister-in-law Janice Bents also other relatives and friends.
Grace was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeff Duncan, parents, Menno and Grace, brother John and sister Mary Ellen, and mother and father-in-law Ray and Nell Tanner, and brother and sister-in-law, George and Shirley Tanner.
