Gracie Alice Berry Bryant of Crockett passed away peacefully on Friday evening, December 5th, 2025 at the age of 88. Gracie was born February 22, 1937 in Gladewater, Texas. She was her mother's only child. Gracie graduated from Reagan High school, class of 1956 in Houston. She met the love of her life, Robert and they married in 1956. They were blessed with three wonderful children Cindy Ann, Robert Jr. and Susan Kay.
Gracie adored having a full house of neighbors, friends and loved ones. She loved hosting gatherings for church events, her husband's work events, family holiday's, various card and domino games, camping club meetings and the list goes on and on. Gracie enjoyed decorating for every season and holiday to make her house feel like a home where friends became family and love filled each room.
She was an avid supporter of missionary work around the world. Gracie and Robert were long time members of Grace Street Church of Christ and participated in local outreach together for many years in the Crockett area spreading the word of God throughout our community.
Gracie and her husband enjoyed traveling and exploring the world together. Being married to an airline pilot, she had the opportunity to tag along on many of Roberts trips and experience the places we all dream of going someday. In retirement, Gracie and Robert set sail on many cruises and ruled the road, towing their camper all the way to Alaska and Nova Scotia.
In her later years, Gracie found joy in reading devotionals, historical biographies and fiction/non-fiction novels of all genres. She also continued her volunteer work sorting and organizing donated clothing items for Impact Houston church of Christ's resale shop.
Gracie is survived by her children, Cynthia (Cindy) Ann Shaw and husband, Gordon of Crockett, Robert Mitchel Bryant Jr. of Spring, Susan Kay Woodward and husband, Paul of Houston; grandchildren, John Shaw of Portland, Oregon, Chris Woodward of League City, Jennifer Banks and husband, Dusty of Round Rock, Rachel Remmers and husband, Jamie of Crockett, Laci Bryant of Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Emma Banks, Gracie Banks and Benjamin Remmers; dear friend, Trish Hardy of Crockett. She was preceded in death by parents, Johnnie Mae Conner Berry Harvin and Garnet Littleton Berry; loving husband of 65 years, Robert Mitchel Bryant, Sr.
Funeral services for Gracie Alice Bryant will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Grace Street Church of Christ with Mr. Paul Woodward and Mr. Jimmy Stegall officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to services.
Graveside service for family only to follow at the Morning Star Ranch Family Cemetery.
