Funeral services for Gracie Faye Reed Pryor, 85, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe, LA, with Rev. Tim Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Monday, June 23, 2025, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Pryor was born on February 25, 1940, in Louisville, MS, and passed away on June 21, 2025. She loved Jesus and was a very active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was a beautiful florist and decorator, as well as a great cook.
Mrs. Pryor is preceded in death by her father, Earnest Reed; mother, Ethel Reed; brothers, Edward Reed and Wiley Reed; sisters, Earnestine Reed, Peggy Turnbow, and Alice Shaw; and her husband, Roger Pryor.
Survivors include her daughter, Jamie Rogers (Paul) of West Monroe, LA; son, Glen Brown of Shreveport, LA; grandsons, Corey Brown (Lanie) of Lafayette, LA, and Landon Rogers of West Monroe, LA; granddaughters, Blair Herron (Johnathan), Kylen Rogers of West Monroe, LA; and Madisyn Rogers of Ruston, LA; great grandsons, Riley Sterling and Austin Sterling of Youngsville, LA; great granddaughter, Emma Herron of Youngsville, LA; brothers, Jerry Reed of Pascagoula, MS, Billy Reed of Wisner, LA, and Buddy Reed; and sisters, Nellie Thompson of Monroe, LA and Janie Green of Pioneer, LA.
The pallbearers will be Landon Rogers, Corey Brown, Riley Sterling, Johnathan Herron, Lonnie Green and Paul Rogers. The honorary pallbearers will be Huey Green, Doug Thompson and Jimmy Vallery.
