Gracie Lynn Travis, 49, departed from her earthly body on December 3, 2024 at her family home in Glenwood, Arkansas. She was born June 18, 1975 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Middle daughter to Betty Lou(1953-2017) and Aubry(1950-2024) Travis.
Gracie held many titles by those of us she treasured-Mama, Mimi, Gert, Sister, and Aunt. Known for her over dramatic flare and strong willed personality. She showed kindness to the wicked and understanding to the broken. Family was of great importance to Ms. Travis and her fondest memories were of family gatherings with everyone enjoying each other’s company. Taking spontaneous trips with no destination in mind was exciting to her.
Gracie Lynn leaves behind three grief stricken children; Lacy(Alex) Stafford of Donaldson, Stacy(Troy) Hill of Okolona, Tracy Hill Jr. of Gurdon, all whom she fiercely loved and cherished most in this world. A mother that was always ready protect and defend her children at all cost. If you knew one thing about Gracie, it would be the immeasurable love she had for her children. Two surviving siblings; Lewis Travis of Glenwood and Aubrey(Jackie) Tigue of Kirby who she adored and were a pillar of strength for each other. Mimi to six grandchildren, Blaklee & Madison Keeling, Wynsdae Stafford, Brylee & Cohen Smillie and Titus Lee who brought the light back into her eyes; seven bonus grandchildren; Jade, Gage, Kane, and Jett Stafford, Avery, Preston, and Knoxton Hooks that showed her heart it can love more than she thought possible. Gracie was the sassy and protective aunt to 11 nieces and nephews. Beloved cousin, friend, and aunt at heart to many. Former spouse, Tracy Hill Sr., of 28 years, formed their own parentship and found humor in reminding each other of the thorn in their side they could be but remained a staple of strength towards each other and their respective families during trying times.
Gracie Lynn, is preceded in death by both parents, Betty Lou and Aubry Travis, a love that never faded. An older sister, Donna Huffman(1971-2021), that she missed terribly and talked about frequently. All who awaited for her arrival.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Travis, Rauston Travis, Eric Tigue, J.W. Tigue, Zach Tigue, and Mike Homan.
Honorary Pallbearers are Donovan Huffman and Tracy Hill.
