Grady Murphy Obituary
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2025 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Reed will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Born on July 14, 1940 in New Holland, he was the son of the late Eb and Katie Murphy, He was retired from Cargill where he was a machine operator. In addition to his parents, Mr. Murphy was preceded in death by his wife, LaVaughn Harris Murphy; son, David Roger Murphy; brothers, Clarence Murphy, Ernest Murphy, Charlie Murphy, Louis Murphy and sisters, Lola Mae Burnett, Gladys Smith and Betty Canup.
Mr. Murphy is survived by his daughter, Glenda Crymes of Gainesville; son, Lamar Murphy of Royston; brother, Robert Murphy of Chestnut Mountain; grandchildren, Christopher Hunter, Carmen Hunter, Wesley Wright, Levi Wright, Grady CJ Murphy, Sidney Latrell Everts; great grandchildren, Maci Lee Hunter, Makayla Hunter, Christopher Hunter, Clayton Hunter, Cadence Everts, Caston Everts and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Rd., Gainesville, Ga. 30504 is in charge of the arrangements.
