Grady Leroy Roach

Age 80 of Portland passed away Monday, March 20, 2023 at The Residence of Alive Hospice. He was born November 11, 1942 in Cottontown, TN to Roy Elvis and Jewell Elene Hale Roach. He retired as a lineman supervisor with Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation after 38 years of service. He proudly served his country in the Air National Guard for 32 years, where he also retired. Grady enjoyed "tinkering", fishing, caring for his many animals and gardening. He loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters. He especially loved a good meal and sharing it with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nancy Bradley Roach; brothers, Pat Roach and Joe Roach; sister, Sue Link. He is survived by his son, Mike (Angie) Roach, Cross Plains, TN; daughters, Cindy Longmire, Memphis, TN, Christy White and Carole Harville, both of Savannah, TN; brothers, Donnie (Cheryl) Roach, Portland, TN, Lanny Phillip (Sharon) Roach, Cottontown, TN and Dennis (Rhonda) Roach, Hendersonville, TN; sister, Deborah Roach (Lanny) Wilder, Mount Juliet, TN; 2 granddaughters, Ashton and Alissa Roach, Cross Plains, TN. A graveside service and interment is scheduled for Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 11am in Walnut Grove UMC Cemetery with Ray Biggs officiating. No public visitation is scheduled.
