Grady Isaac Smith, Jr., of Lansing, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on May 3, 2025. Born November 20, 1967, he was the son of Grady Isaac Smith, Sr., and Floreda Smith. departed this life on May 3, 2025.
Grady loved the Lord and accepted Christ into his life at a young age. His faith was strong, unwavering, and he shared the gospel with those he encountered. He was known for his generous spirit and unwavering desire to care for those around him. Whether lending a helping hand, offering a kind word, or sharing home-cooked meals, Grady was always ready to support anyone in need. His love for cooking became one of his favorite pastimes and trademarks, widely known for his delicious meals that brought people together. Most recently, Grady proudly earned his culinary certification, further pursuing his passion for food and hospitality.
A lifelong learner, Grady also recently graduated with a degree in Cybersecurity, a testament to his dedication and perseverance. He found joy in spending time with his family, and nothing mattered more to him than their happiness and well-being.
Grady was preceded in death by his father, Gardy Isaac Smith, Sr.; brother, Sterling Isaac Smith; and niece, Vanna L. Bradshaw. Grady is survived by his devoted mother, Floreda Smith; brother, Titus Isaac Smith, Sr.; sisters, Vivian Smith, Valerie Bradshaw, Karen Green (Kevin), Marian Walley, Anita Douglas, and Sabrina Elliott (Wayne). He also leaves behind a host of family, friends, nieces, and nephews who loved him dearly and will remember him for his warmth, laughter, and unwavering support.
Grady Issac Smith, Jr., beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion and service to others.
