Loved working with you on our projects over the years. You are a true artist of our generation. You showed your musical abilities early and often, growing,. Becoming very capable of NB using many instruments in the creation of your artistic vision. You also had a true gift of album artwork concepts, original works of art we called them. May you rest in peace, Grant and perhaps we meet on the other side

RIP Grant

I was lucky enough to attend college in the early 1980s in Lawrence, Kansas. Husker Du played there several times, and Grant later returned with Nova Mob and possibly a solo show. I am sad that he has departed this earth but his music is eternal (and awesome!). Thank you, Grant Hart. Peace to your loved ones.

My heartfelt condolence goes out to the family, friends, and many fans of Grant Hart. It's so sad that his life slipped away at such a young age. His music brought joy and happiness to many people. May God become a refuge to all and bring peace to all broken hearts. May we all look to the fulfillment of his promise, that he will wipe away every tear from our eyes and death, sorrow and pain will be no more.

So sorry for your loss of Grant. I enjoyed meeting him as we went through the early 1978 Husker Du photos taken my late husband Steve Hengstler. Loved his passion of those early years. Such a talent- taken way too soon. As Steve would say "Carpe Diem" Seize the day! No one is promised tomorrow. They are having a reunion in Heaven. Keep your memories close to your heart and may they bring you peace.

I was introduced to Husker Du by a fellow drummer. He described Grant's voice as "angelic." I couldn't agree more. I define Grant's drumming to the guitar playing of Johnny Marr. NO ONE could play like him. Grant's music always sounded like Minnesota. Images of the Twin Cities and my hometown on the Iron Range dance in my mind whenever I play Husker Du, Nova Mob or solo album. He was talent beyond talent. All the best to him and his family and friends. He was truly one of kind and will be missed dearly.

Grant was the greatest treasure of the Twin Cities. Enchanting everyone he crossed paths with and gifting us with all of the art he bestowed onto this world. A kind, ernest, sincere, funny, down to earth man. We are so lucky to have shared this time on Earth together. Love and Light to Grant in the cosmos and everyone whose lives he touched.

It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.

I remember grant as being a very smart guy and talented musician. He was the first boy to ever ask me to dance. It was at a 7th grade dance at South St. Paul Junior High. I had the biggest crush on him! Our lockers were right next to each other all through high school. My condolences to all your family and friends.
