Grazia Nichilo

Grazia Nichilo, age 83 of Highland Park passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, March 8, 2024. She was born October 20, 1940 in Libya to the union Domenico and Benedetta (Mangione) Tiziano. On September 2, 1965 at the Saint Domenico Church in Corato, Bari, Italy she married Domenico Nichilo and the couple immigrated to Highland Park, Illinois in November of 1965. Grazia worked for Cherry Electric in Waukegan from 1969 to 1974. Grazia enjoyed playing Bingo at Immaculate Conception Church, St. James Church and the Highland Park Moose Lodge. Many of her summers were spent at the family cabin in Conrath, Wisconsin where she would be gardening and cooking for her family. Grazia was known for her homemade peach pastries and pastas. In later years she would spend the winters in Arizona.

Dear sister of the late Franco (Emma) Tiziano of Naples, FL, late Giuseppe (Ida) Tiziano of Mundelein and Nicola Tiziano of Phoenix, AZ. Fond zia of Tina (Corey) Dreher of Naples, FL, Dominic (fiancé: Sharyl Cino) Tiziano of Bonita Springs, FL, Patrizia (Marc) Remer of Libertyville, Domenick Danny (Agatha) Tiziano of Springfield, NJ and Domenico Coleman Tiziano of Phoenix, AZ. Bis zia of nine.
Visitation Friday, March 15, 2024 from 4:00 to 9:00 P.M. and Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. from the Seguin & Symonds Funeral Home, 858 Sheridan Road, Highwood to Christ Our Hope Parish Immaculate Conception Campus, 770 Deerfield Road, Highland Park, mass 10:00 A.M. Rev. Hernan Cuevas, celebrant. Entombment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, 1920 Buckley Road, Libertyville, Illinois.
