Greg Ackerson Obituary
Greg was born December 28, 1946, in Bellingham, WA to parents Gene and Carol Ackerson. He married Deanna M Dickinson on February 29, 1992. Greg served in the United States Navy from 1966–1969. He made it a career at Intalco Aluminum Plant/Alcoa retiring after 24 years. Gregory enjoyed working on cars with friends & family.
Greg will be greatly missed by his wife Deanna, children Cyndi Ackerson, Christine Ackerson, and Sarah Scheffer (Kurt); bonus children Gwen Spady (Ben), Gretchen Makus (Martin), and Richard Petersen; grandchildren Jade, Cassandra (Dalton), Kyle (Hannah), Tiffany, Megan, Dakota, Lila, and Addison; Great Grandchildren Tori, JC, Brian, Ursula, Aubree, Xavier, Sanura, Chase, Lincoln, and Kennedy. Siblings Kathleen (John) Taylor and Gary (Kathy)Ackerson.
Gregory was preceded in death by his dad, Gene Ackerson, mom, Carol P Ackerson, brother, Mike Ackerson (Gail), and brother, Kim Ackerson.
A Celebration of Life is being planned and will be announced soon, please check back.
Greg's final resting place will be with family at the Van Zandt Cemetery (no date for this yet).
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Gillies Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
