Gregory Paul Gallo, lived a life marked by joy, adventure, and an unwavering love for his family. Born on September 17, 1973, in Joliet, Illinois, Greg's journey through life was one of vibrancy and laughter, a journey that came to an end on September 20, 2025, in
Morris, Illinois.
Greg's early years in Morris set the stage for a life filled with close family ties and a passion for exploration, a trait he inherited from his loving parents, Gary and Patricia Gallo. His sisters, Gayle (Mark) Conrod and Gina (Brian) Carlson, remember a brother who delighted in teasing them in their youth, only to reminisce about those same antics with fondness in later years.
As a father, Greg's heart belonged to his children: Chloe Gallo, Mossimo Gallo, and Ciara (Cory) Hartema whom he shared with Pam Henderson. He instilled in them his zest for life, often taking them on travels and introducing them to the wonders of the world. Greg's love for sports shone brightly as he cheered on Chloe, Mossimo, and Ciara at their games, and he shared a special bond with Mossimo over Go-Kart racing and F-1 racing, reveling in the speed and excitement of the tracks.
Greg's nieces and nephews-Tyler and Kaylea Mann, Zach Mann and Elizabeth, Kayla and Drew Hamilton, Austin and Morgan Conrod-and great-nieces and nephews-Axel, Atlas, Phenyx, Levyathan, Artemys, and Delphyna Mann, Elijah and Maverick Hamilton, Cooper, Beckett, and Nora Conrod-knew him as an uncle who cherished family gatherings and was always ready to capture the moment with a group selfie.
A man of many friendships, Greg never met a stranger. His warm and open nature drew people to him, including his good friends Dave and Michelle Mathews, Melissa Marie, and Mark. Together, they shared countless experiences that often became the legendary tales Greg would recount with a twinkle in his eye.
Greg's enthusiasm for life extended to his love for music, where he was known for his impressive ability to win at music trivia. He also really enjoyed going to so many concerts. His passion for sports was equally strong, with a lifelong loyalty to the Chicago Cubs and the Morris Redskins, later transitioning his football allegiance to the Chicago Bears.
Always the life of the party, Greg had a knack for stumbling upon celebrities during his travels, each encounter becoming an anecdote he would later share, much to the delight of his listeners. Greg's big heart and fun-loving spirit were a beacon of happiness to all who knew him.
