Greg Whaley

Neil Gregory Whaley, age 72 of Teachey, passed peacefully at home Tuesday April 1, 2025. He was born August 7, 1952 in New Hanover County son of the late David and Doris Whaley Sr. He was also predeceased by two brothers, Boyce and Mike Whaley, and sister, Renee May. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Susan Mousmoules Whaley; two sons, Shawn Whaley of OH, and Nate Whaley of Watha; three grandchildren, Matthew, Shawn Jr., and AnnaGrace; a brother, David Whaley and wife Gigi of Hampstead; and many nieces and nephews. Greg loved the beach in his younger days and was an avid salt and fresh water fisherman and an avid hunter. He had an excellent eye for buying horses and loved to show them. Greg and his family enjoyed showing horses all over the US. Greg and his wife owned and operated a successful insulation business for 26 years. The family will receive friends from 2- 3:00 pm Saturday one hour prior to the service. A memorial service will be at 3:00 PM Saturday April 5, 2025 at Harrell's Funeral Home Chapel.
