Gregg Winter Snider

Greg Winter Snider, 38, born in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada, passed away suddenly on January 21st, 2025. Gregg is survived by his loving wife, Paige Snider (Johnson); his parents, Stephen and Lise Snider; in-laws, Dan and Connie Johnson; and his brother-in-law, Reese Johnson.

Gregg was deeply loved by his family, bringing immense joy to their lives and those around him. He grew up with a baseball glove in his hand, spending many afternoons playing catch with his dad. This passion eventually led him to Rome, GA, where he met his wife, Paige. Their adventures began when they were married on the beach in Key West, FL, in 2014. They spent some time in Burlington, VT, where Gregg earned his PhD in Biochemistry, before returning to GA, where he pursued his Master's in Anesthesia. His healthcare career began at Northside Gwinnett where coworkers admired his enthusiasm, commitment, work ethic, humility and loved how he was always celebrating the successes of others.

Gregg and Paige defined the word adventure. His niche was living life to its fullest through travel and planning trips. Whether trekking across glaciers, hiking awe-inspiring trails around the world, relaxing on remote beaches, or savoring exotic foods- ranging from fine dining to street carts- Gregg thrived with Paige by his side, always smiling. He enjoyed checking off countries, national parks, MLB Stadiums, and seeking out new experiences, always with a sense of excitement and curiosity. His friends and family will dearly miss his intellect, humor, and love, which made everyone want to be his best friend.

The family will receive guests from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM on Tuesday January 28, 2025, at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home & Crematory, 2773 N. Decatur Rd. Decatur, GA 30033.

An additional celebration will be held in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada at a later date.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests tht donations be made to DeKalb County Animal Service, www.dekalbanimalservices.com/donate or Home for Our Troops, www.hfotusa.org, both organizations that Gregg felt strongly about.
