My deepest condolences to the Allen Family.....
I went to Bel Air High and graduated with Greg class of 1969. Knew him as a friend and fellow classmate in a couple of classes, he was so nice, polite and a good student and he´d help me if I couldn´t figure out questions in class, a great class mate and friend...
Heaven awaits you God Loves You. Your friend, Espie Melendez Sanchez, La Union, NM

I was deeply saddened when I heard about the passing of Police Chief Greg Allen. I met him when I worked in the Police Department. He was truly an outstanding leader. He would always encourage me when I sang National Anthem and he was so funny. You will be missed. I´m sending my condolences and prayers to your beautiful wife and family.

My husband, Officer Chris McGil, loved three Chiefs, Chief John Scagno, Chief Richard Wiles, but most of all Chief Greg Allen. He affected McGill greatly, as he did countless others, and will for generations to come. Chief Allen lives on.

My deepest condolences to Greg's wife Rosanne and family. Met Greg in 1972/72 where he taught a martial arts class at UTEP. Later introduced me to Mr. Hayashi. Watching Greg smile and enjoying getting my butt kicked during my first class is something I will always remember. Having said this, I have nothing but respect for Greg. And although we just saw each other occasionally after I moved out of state, he was always welcoming and gracious. Great martial artist from whom I learned a lot but an even better person. Rest in peace, my friend.

Chief Allen has always been and will always be a man I hold in the highest regard and respect. He has been a leader on a level few people ever experience the pleasure of working for and a leader at a level many have tried but rarely achieved. He demonstrated an example of leadership all leaders should strive to become. Whenever we spoke he always made me feel like my contribution was important. Absolutely one of the finest persons, officer, friend and leader I have had the pleasure of knowing. My never ending support and utmost respect and a very heartfelt condolences to his wife and family.

My deepest Condolences to Roseanne and family.
Greg was my close friend and co-worker. He not only supervised and trained us, but most of all, he was our friend. The most important thing that Greg drilled into us, was no matter how good you thought you were, you will always be and remain HUMBLE!!
That will always be part of me. Greg lead an unbelievable life. His martial arts expertise and the people that he trained with was amazing.
His leadership and working side by side with him will always be memories that I will forever treasure.
Rest in Peace my friend!! Your family in blue will take care of your family now, so Rest in Peace!
