Gregory Lewis Betz

MORENCI – Gregory Lewis Betz, age 69 of Morenci, MI passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Hospice of Lenawee. He was born December 7, 1954, to parents Melvin Betz and Betty Fletcher, and they preceded him in death. On February 14, 1998, in Laughlin, NV, Greg married Roberta Jean Huff, and she preceded him in death.
Greg was a 1974 graduate of Sand Creek High School. After graduation, he worked at Stauffer's for 15 years, and then spent the next years as the proud owner of G & S Steel. Lastly, he hauled campers for Quality Drivers, until his retirement. In retirement, Greg enjoyed spending time tinkering in the garage, as well as tending to his garden. He was hardworking, incredibly determined, witty, and sarcastic. Above all else, he loved his grandkids and dog, Buddy.
Surviving Greg are his sons Brian (Kristy) Betz, Mike Betz, and Brad Osborn; Daughters Christine Betz, Kellie (Mark) Seyfried and daughter-in-law, Melissa Osborn; Sister Deb (Rod) Rutledge; eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and Buddy the dog. As well as his parents and wife, Greg is preceded in death by sister Sharon McDowell.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. Services for Greg will take place on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., also at the funeral home, with Pastor Darren Lemmon, officiating. Burial to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Morenci.
