Gregory Brandon, a tin man who found his heart, took his last road trip on Friday, September 19, 2025, in Bullhead City, Arizona. At 60 years old, he left us with more stories than we can ever finish telling.

Born March 31, 1965 in Bush, Colorado, to parents Carroll and Koleta, Greg grew up in Akron, CO, graduating from Akron High School in 1983. He built a career that spanned the oil fields, tire sales, and later a decade with Renewable Fiber Inc. in Fort Lupton, where he worked as a field supervisor known for both his dedication and magnetic personality.

Greg's life was full of love and adventure. He welcomed two sons, Cullen and Kaden, with his first wife Kristi Herman. Years later he met Roberta "BJ" Brandon, and on September 16, 2006, they began a marriage marked by laughter, cross-country moves, and countless road trips. Greg also became step-dad to Nikki Cox and worked tirelessly to ensure he provided a steady home.

Greg and BJ lived in Florida from 2010 to 2012, Illinois from 2015 to 2017, and eventually chased their long-time dream by moving to Bullhead City, AZ in 2024 to build a new life. Greg called it "semi-retired," including learning to golf, enjoying his time away from the snow, and making friends at every turn.

Friends called Greg a "gentle giant" and a "big guy with a big heart." He loved vacations, spontaneous drives and quoting half of Hollywood's comedies. To those who knew him, he was both a protector and, true to his name, a Vigilant Watchman, someone who kept an eye out to be sure everyone got home safe, and stood ready with a joke, story, or a steady hand whenever it was needed.

Greg is survived by BJ and Nikki, his brother Richard, his sister Karolyn, and many friends, coworkers, and road-trip companions who will forever miss his laugh and kindness.

A celebration of Greg's life will be held on Oct 25, 1pm at Gemma's Crossing.
