Gregory A. "Brownie" Brown

Gregory A. "Brownie" Brown, 57, of New York Mills, NY, passed away, unexpectedly, on Monday, January 12, 2026.

Greg was born in New Hartford, NY, on June 17, 1968, a son of Shirley (Guzski) Brown and the late Michael F. Brown. Greg attended St. Mary's School in New York Mills and graduated from New York Mills High School, in 1986. He was a hardworking man who worked at various places throughout the area, including the Coca-Cola Company, Wonder Bread, Spano's Bakery and most recently, Carlo Masi and Sons and Daughter, Inc., in Utica, where he was a foreman.

Greg had many great memories of time spent with his cousins. He had a passion for golf and enjoyed playing the game as often as he could with his family and many special friends. He was a proud member of the Malson Jones VFW, 7393.

Greg is survived by his mother, Shirley Brown; his beloved companion, Nancy Jarosz; two brothers, Tim Brown and Shawn Brown; three nephews, Hunter, Daniel and Riley; and a great-niece, Joy. He is also survived by many cousins and special friends.

He was predeceased by a brother, Jeffrey F. Brown.

In keeping with Greg's wishes there will be no public calling hours. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial, on Saturday morning, January 24, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., from Sacred Heart and Saint Mary Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 201 Main St., New York Mills. The family will welcome family and friends at the conclusion of Mass.
