Gregory Burns Obituary

Born September 24, 1965, in Sumter, he was the son of Joseph E. "Gene" Burns and Rose Marie Wilder Burns.
Survivors include his parents; a sister, Pamela Burns Rogers; nieces, Ashton Ward (Morgan) and Hannah Barkley (Jonathon); a great-niece, Millie Ward; and a great-nephew, Oliver Barkley.
A graveside service will be held at 12 PM Monday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Chris Moore officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.

I had the pleasure of speaking with Brother Greg many times when I worked in the call center. He would call and ask for me alot & i wondered how he was doing after I left. Im deeply sorry to hear of his passing. He was a wonderful man and an amazing example of true Christian spirit. I rejoice for him because now he is free from his worries and pain but I am sad for us for losing such a genuine soul.
