Gregory Costello Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by A Natural State Funeral Service & Crematory on Mar. 19, 2026.
Gregory Ray Costello, Sr., 68, of Mayflower, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. He was born in Little Rock, to the late Mary Ann Costello and Billy Ray Costello. He was loved by many and will be missed by everyone who came to know him.

In his early years, Greg lived in the community of Rose City, and he loved being outdoors with friends. He spent many years working at Conestoga Wood Specialties, but his passion was hunting and fishing. Greg loved nature and developed many strong friendships in his Hunting Club. He was most comfortable in a deer stand, in a fishing boat, or working on a project in his workshop.

Greg was a faithful and kind-hearted friend to many. He enjoyed telling stories and sharing a good laugh with friends and family. He was also a life-long devoted Arkansas Razorback fan, and he was frequently found wearing the team's colors. Love of country and respectful devotion to veterans was important to him.

Greg was a devoted family man and dearly loved his wife of 48 years, Glenda, and their two boys, Clinton and Gregory, Jr. He and Glenda shared a strong commitment to family, and Greg was proud of the men they had raised. One of Greg's greatest joys was becoming the PawPaw of Kaydence. She brought a gleam to his eye and brought him many years of laughter.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Glenda, and sons, Clinton (Jennifer) of Austin and Gregory, Jr. of Ward; his granddaughter, Kaydence Costello; and two sisters, Stephanie Maler (Charles) of New Mexico and Nancy Jones (Randy) of Georgia. He is survived by numerous other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M. on Monday, March 23, at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas.

Services for Greg will be at 2 P.M. Tuesday, March 24 at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, with Pastor Ken Grove, officiating. Burial will be in Sumner Cemetery in Cabot.
