Gregory Kirk Davis

Gregory Kirk Davis, a beloved figure and cherished member of his community, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025, in Tallahassee, Florida. Born on August 3, 1952, in Nicholls, Georgia, Kirk lived a life marked by devotion, passion, and love.
A proud business owner, Kirk dedicated himself to his work and the community that embraced him. His entrepreneurial spirit was matched only by his deep love for family and friends. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Harriett, who he adored and supported throughout their journey together. In addition to being a loving partner, Kirk was a compassionate uncle to his nephew, Lance Davis, who fondly remembers the special bond they shared.
Outside of his professional life, Kirk found immense joy in the tranquility of nature, especially when fishing. Many will remember him always asking about the trout fishing on the Gulf and the bream fishing on the Ochlockonee river. He relished the peaceful moments on the water and the beauty of the outdoors.
Kirk's kindness, warmth, and unwavering dedication to those he loved will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. His legacy will endure in the memories he created with friends and family, and in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to share in his life.
Kirk is preceded in death by his beloved wife Harriett, three brothers Derrick, Gary, and Chris Davis, a nephew Alan Davis, and his parents Hoke and Helen Davis.
He is survived by his nieces Elisha Sullivan, Kristy Blanchett, Erica Strickland, and Hannah Pughe, his nephew Lance Davis, the entire O'Quinn family as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Kirk's life will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 4:00 at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home in Perry, FL. with Bro. Jim Brent Marsh officiating. The family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service. All who knew him are invited to participate in this heartfelt remembrance.
