Gregory Doxon Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wulf-Ast Mortuary & Cremations, LLC - Garden Plain on Jun. 9, 2025.
Gregory Allyn Doxon, 68, passed away peacefully at Hospice House of Reno County May 14, 2025.
Born to Bill and Shelia Smith Doxon on August 5, 1956, at St Elizabeth Hospital, he was raised in Hutchinson. He attended Hutchinson Senior High School and served in the Navy. He married Elizabeth "Libby" Kirby on June 14, 1980, in Larned, Kansas.
Greg worked at Excel, E&M and Decker Mattison. He was a handyman and after retiring he spent time "just fishin'" at the many state lakes he and Lib explored. There were many one-day road trips around Kansas.
He enjoyed watching a wide array of TV programs. They ranged from wrestling, westerns, comedy, National Geographic, and the History Channel. Greg was a man who knew a surprising number of things about "stuff".
Greg is survived by: his wife, of over 44 years, Elizabeth "Libby"; his sisters, Kim (Wayne) Grossardt of Wichita and Carrie Doxon of Hutchinson; his sister-in-law, Rebecca (Jim) Rogers of Wichita; his nieces, Danielle (Alan) Foster of Overland Park and Rachelle (Zach) Roberson of Wichita, Dylan (Ajay) Sanchez of Hutchison and nephews Christopher Grossardt of Lenexa and Rob (Christina) Rogers of Queen Creek, AZ; his great-nephews, Hudson Sanchez and Graham Foster; and his great-nieces, Oakley Sanchez, Elise and Remington Rogers and Bennett, Baker and Baylor Roberson of Wichita.
He was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws, Keith and Luella Kirby.
Memorials can be made to Hospice and Homecare of Reno County (2020 N. Waldron St. Ste 100, Hutchinson, KS 67502). A Celebration of Greg's life will be held at a later date.
