Gregory Dufort Obituary
Gregory J. Dufort, 67 of Henderson NV passed away December 19, 2024. He was born in Bourne, MA, to David P. Dufort and Theresa J. (LaVine) Dufort and was preceded in death by his parents, David P. & Theresa J. Dufort (LaVine) of Henderson, NV and Linda M. Bayne (Dufort) of North Las Vegas, NV
Greg was a 58 year resident of Nevada. He was a bartender at the Mirage Hotel & Casino. He was one of the first employees to begin his 35 year career working at the Mirage opening in November 1989 to the closing in July 2024. He always said, the Mirage & coworkers he worked with were his second family. Greg was in the United States Army from June 1976 to June 1978. Greg had a great personality and a fine sense of humor. He was a good caring father and loving husband to Veronica Dufort for 34 years. Greg is survived by his daughter Denise D. Dufort of Henderson, NV, and grandson Abel Dufort of Henderson, NV. Greg is survived by his brothers-in law Luis Benito, Juan Benito, Javier Benito, Salvador Benito (Cristal Benito Cruz) & Noe Benito (Maria Luisa Benito), Carlos Benito Jimenez (Jennifer Benito), Adele & Felix, Azucena Benito J., Sister-in law Esther Rojas Benito (Joel Rojas), and several nieces and nephews.
Greg is also survived by two sisters, Pamela & Lisa Dufort of Henderson, NV. Greg is survived by his brother-in-law Michael Bayne, Sr., his niece Samantha Lejeune (Bayne), (Chuck) of Las Vegas, NV, nephews Daniel Bayne of Las Vegas, Alexander Bayne (Brandy) of Las Vegas, NV and Michael T. Bayne (Andrea) of North Las Vegas, NV, 4 great nephews and one great niece, Andrew Bayne, Michael Bayne, Jr, Greyson Bayne, Nathan Bayne and Azlynn Bayne. And several cousins in Malone, NY.
Visitation will be held at Davis Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 6200 S. Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV, 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 04, 2025, with services officiated by Deacon Jacob Favela at 2:00 PM.
We love you, Greg and miss you, dearly.
