Gregory Leon Fields

Gregory Fields Obituary Mr. Gregory Leon Fields, age 69, of Lyons, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Glenwood Nursing Center, following an extended illness. He was born on June 29, 1956, to Johnny and Geneva Fields and was a lifelong resident of Lyons. Gregory was a 1975 graduate of Lyons Senior High School, worked for McClendon Enterprise, and was a Baptist by faith. He enjoyed spending time with his dog, Roscoe; shooting pool with his kids and grandkids and watching old black-and-white westerns. In addition to his parents, Gregory is preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Fields.
Mr. Fields is survived by two sons, Greg Fields and wife Lindsey, and Jared Fields, all of Lyons; one sister, Paula Fields of Perry; two grandchildren, Zoey Fields and Cadence Lanier; and many friends who will share memories of him.
The memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 29th, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Wilkes Funeral Home with Pastor Ronny Moore officiating.
The family would like to acknowledge the staff of Glenwood Nursing Center and his special friend, Ms. Elia Perez.
The arrangements have been entrusted to Wilkes Funeral Home of Vidalia.
