Gregory Hammill Obituary
Gregory Hammill passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at the age of 77 years.
Greg was born and lived his entire life in Calgary, Alberta.
His Early years were spent helping his father James run the family motor company, Hammill motors. A pillar of Calgary’s early car industry. Greg went on to start his own leasing and management firm in the late 70’s to mid 80’s.Greg will be forever remembered for his bright smile, contagious laughter and love for blues music. His passions for riding motorcycles and fixing vehicles. He loved watching movies with his family, spending time with them, and caring for his cats and dogs.Greg brought Joy into many people's lives, most of all to his two son's Jared and Hunter. He will be greatly missed by the many lives he has touched with his compassion and empathy.
Greg is survived by his son, Hunter Hammill-Goduto of Calgary, Alberta; son, Jared Hammill of Kitchener, Ontario; grandchildren, Clara and Logan of Kitchener, Ontario; Hunter’s mother, Gina Goduto; and brother, Drake Hammill.
He was predeceased by his son, Hudson Hammill (2008); father, James Hammill; mother, Lucille (née Clarke) Hammill, And brother Jimmy Hammill.
A Graveside Service will be held for Gregory at Union Cemetery (Erlton St & 32 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2C 4H3) on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.
